Who We Are
Dear Friends,
A couple of decades ago, in 2001, a small group decided to execute some unconventional work in the field of art and culture. The result was organization of the People’s Voice. In these twenty years, the People’s Voice has established itself as a leading organization in the field of various arts, especially cinema. Apart from organizing various film screenings and film meets, the organization is engaged production of documentary films at various levels.
In 2011, a two days’ film meet was started in Dalhousie which was extended to three years in the next year. For three years (2014-2016), Raikot Film Meet, running on a different pattern, was organized at Raikot in Ludhiana. In year 2017 one day’s Children Film Festival was organized in Jalandhar.
What We Do
We organize socially relevant film screenings in public places and educational organizations since 2001. We organise 3 days’ Film Meets in which film screening is followed by group discussions. We hold events in which filmmakers interact with viewers about their films. We engaged in the production of documentary and short films. We have also marketed many documentary films.

The organization is holding a big screening in Mela Ghadri Babian Da since 2001.Monthly Film Screening in Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall Jalnadhar is being organized regularly since 2010. In addition to this, the organization shows films in schools, colleges, social institutions and other public screenings.
Several filmmakers and other artists including Sanjay Kak, Ajay Bhardwaj, Gauhar Raza, Sanjay Joshi, Ashok Bhowmick, Rajiv, Rohit Sharma, Randeep Madoke, Harjant Gill, Jatinder Mauhar, Subrat Kumar Sahu and Prabash Chandra have attended various programs organized by the People’s Voice.
It is pertinent to add here that the organisation do not accept any support given by Government or any other funding agency, but is solely run by resources generated from its members and sympathisers, needless to say that this includes participants.
In this year, the People’s Voice has entered in 24th year.
